Baptisms, Weddings, and Funerals
At All Saints’, we usually celebrate baptism four times a year: at the Easter Vigil in spring, or as part of the 8 A.M. or 10 A.M. Sunday mass on the Feast of Pentecost in early summer, All Saints’ Day in early November, and the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord in January. Dates vary each year due to the church calendar. We can accommodate other dates, please contact our church office.
If candidates for Holy Baptism are infants or children, at least one parent or guardian is a participant in the worship and ministry of All Saints’. If the candidate is an adult, they require at least one sponsor who is a baptized Christian.
All baptisms at All Saints’ use the rite in the 1979 Book of Common Prayer. Our clergy provides preparatory instruction on the meaning of baptism in the Episcopal Church to candidates and families.
We welcome specific inquiries about baptism. Please contact the All Saints’ church office.
Weddings at All Saints’
We celebrate weddings, including Same Sex Weddings, year round, except during Lent.
Weddings at All Saints’ use the 1979 Book of Common Prayer and other resources approved by the Episcopal Church and the Diocese of California. Couples meet with the Rector for pre-marital counseling at least three times. There is a fee for the pre-marital counseling. For more information, contact the church office.
Music for weddings at All Saints’ adheres to the standards of sacred music, as for any church service. Our Minister of Music works with each couple in selecting desired liturgical music and is re-numerated directly by the couple.
We look forward to discussing with you the prospect of an upcoming wedding at All Saints’. Please contact our church office to set up a time to meet with the Rector.
Funerals & Memorial Services
In times of grief and loss, All Saints’ commemorates the lives of loved ones, acknowledging all of us as God’s children. In the Christian tradition, we see death as a passage to eternal life with Jesus as our strength and comforter.
Funerals and Memorial Services at All Saints’ use the Burial of the Dead from the Book of Common Prayer.
Ministration to the sick and dying is available from All Saints’ clergy at home and in hospitals and other nursing facilities.
At All Saints’, we are grateful for the beauty of our Columbarium as a place of eternal rest, situated in the Chapel of the Good Shepherd. Many members and parish friends have made arrangements to be interred here.
There is no fee for a funeral or memorial service at All Saints’ for members, although we welcome gifts in the memory of the deceased.
For more information about funerals, requiems, or memorial services at All Saints’, or to learn more about our Columbarium, contact the church office.
