CHILDREN’S CHAPEL

Sunday, 3 December, during the 10 a.m. Mass

Led by Nancy Lawson, the children will begin to prepare for the Christmas
Pageant to be held on Sunday, 17 December, at 4 p.m.

 

 


ADVENT LESSONS AND CAROLS

Sunday, 3 December, 4 p.m.

A festival of music and hymns based on the great “O” Antiphons, featuring the Minister of Music, Choir, and Lectors of All Saints’.

 FOLLOWED BY

REFRESHMENTS IN THE PARISH HALL at 5:15 p.m.

In honor of all newcomers to All Saints’.

Hosted by John Roberts and Kenneth Schmidt, with refreshments by Margaret Taylor.

 

 

 


ADVENT EDUCATION SERIES

Advent 2017: Gifts of New Hope
Wednesday Evenings, 7 – 8:15 p.m.

A study of the Gospel reading for the coming Sunday, with learning to pray the
Anglican rosary. If you can come early: Mass at 6 p.m.; bag supper at 6:30 p.m.

  • 6 December: Come Thou Long Expected Jesus [Mark 1:1-8]
  • 13 December: God is With Us [John 1:6-8, 19-28]
  • 20 December: Good News of Great Joy [Luke 1:26-38]

OUR WISHES FOR A MERRY CHRISTMAS AT ALL SAINTS’

Neighborhood Children and Youth Christmas Pageant

Sunday, 17 December, 4 p.m.

The young and young-at-heart begin our celebration of Christmas with a special nativity tableau directed by Nancy Lawson, with carols, refreshments, and a visit from Mrs. Claus!

 

Fourth Sunday of Advent

Sunday, 24 December, at the 10 a.m. Mass

The Liturgy of the Word is a Meditation on the Magnificat based on “Five
Verses of the Magnificat” by M. Dupré (improvisatory and solo organ)
performed by the choir in a setting by C. Monteverdi and arranged by William
Visscher, Minister of Music.

 

Christmas Eve: The First Christ Mass

Sunday, 24 December, 8 p.m.

Solemn Mass with the Blessing of the Crèche, followed by a festal reception in the Parish Hall. Please note the earlier hour: 8 p.m.

 

Christmas Day

Monday, 25 December, 10 a.m.

Low Mass with Hymns, with the Rector reading his selection of the best children’s Christmas story book published in 2017.
