Celebrate 110 Years of All Saints’ Worship and Ministry!

All Saints’ Name Day Celebration–All Welcome

  • All Saints’ Day, Friday, 1 November: Low Mass with Hymns at 6 p.m.

  • All Souls’ Day, Saturday, 2 November: Low Mass at 10 a.m.  Please call the church office by Thursday, 31 October, at 5 p.m. to give the names of the departed you want remembered at this annual memorial Mass.

  • All Saints’ Sunday, 3 November: Solemn Pontifical Mass at 10 a.m.–The Episcopal Visitation of the Rt. Rev. Marc H. Andrus, Bishop of California, with Confirmation, Reception, and Reaffirmation of Faith; and the blessing of the renovated stained glass windows on the east side of the Church.  Followed by a festival reception in the Parish Hall in honor of Bishop Marc and the Candidates for confirmation, reception, and reaffirmation of faith, hosted by the Vestry and officers of the parish.

Please note: there will not be an 8 a.m. Mass this Sunday.


Groundwork Continues

Wednesday evenings, 13 and 20 November

  • A discussion of the Gospel reading for the upcoming Sunday for spiritual growth and parish renewal.
  • Program from 7 – 8:15 p.m.  If you can come early: Mass at 6 p.m., bag supper at 6:30.

Portal Poems: Perspectives on Aging

by Sheppard Kominars; foreword by Kenneth Schmidt

Sheppard will read from his new book on Sunday, 17 November, after the 10 a.m. Mass in the Undercroft.  Refreshments provided by Sheppard.


Thanksgiving Eucharist

On the eve of Thanksgiving Day, Wednesday, 27 November.  Low Mass with hymns at 6 p.m.


Special Thanksgiving Brunch

Saturday, 30 November, 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Help wanted to roast turkeys and to donate vegetables, stuffing, and rolls.  Volunteers needed from 8:30 a.m. to Noon to set-up, prepare, serve, and clean-up.  Call Joan Carroll at 415-731-6536 for more information.

Advent & Christmas at All Saints’

  •  Advent Sunday, Sunday, 1 December: Masses at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. with the Rt. Rev. William E. Swing, former Bishop of California, presiding and preaching at the 10 a.m. Mass in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Rev. Kenneth L. Schmidt’s ministry as Rector of All Saints’ Parish.
  •  Advent Lessons & Carols, Sunday, 8 December at 4 p.m. followed by an Open House in the Rectory at 5:15 p.m. in honor of the 10th anniversary of the Rev. Thomas W. Traylor’s ministry as Pastoral Associate at All Saints’.
  •  Children’s Pageant, Sunday, 22 December at 4 p.m.
  •  Christmas Eve, Tuesday, 24 December, Solemn Mass at 9 p.m.
  •  Christmas Day, Wednesday, 25 December, Low Mass with Hymns at 10 a.m.


WEEKDAY MASSES AND EVENING PRAYER IN NOVEMBER:

Masses Monday through Thursday; Evening Prayer on Fridays.
