New Groundwork Series
“Sing to the Lord a New Song” — Wednesday evenings, 9 January to 6 February, 7-8:15 p.m.
Colby Roberts will lead a five-week series of studies during Epiphany on the Psalm for the coming Sunday. Each week participants will write a new interpretation of the Psalm and compose an Anglican chant to which the text will be set. Colby recently retired as All Saints’ Parish Seminarian. A student at the Church Divinity School of the Pacific, Colby is a member of St. Mary the Virgin Episcopal Church in San Francisco, and sings in the chorus of the San Francisco Opera.
If you can come early: Mass at 6 p.m., followed by a bag supper.
The Rev. Amelia A. Hagen, SOSc, Guest Preacher
Sunday, 27 January, at the 10 a.m. Mass
After a career as a scientist, Amelia was sponsored for ordination as Deacon and then as a Priest by All Saints’ in 2000. Since then, Amelia has specialized in interim ministries in California, Wyoming, Michigan, and Maine, where she now lives. Amelia is active in the Society of Ordained Scientists, is an outdoor enthusiast, and a trained icon writer. Welcome home, Amelia!
Coming in February
Annual Meeting — Sunday, 10 February, after the 10 a.m. Mass
All are welcome to celebrate another year of our worship and ministry. Reports from the Rector, Officers of the Parish, and the chairs and leaders of all Parish organizations; and the election of three members of the Vestry, two Delegates to the Deanery and Diocesan Convention, and a Trustee of the Memorial Fund. A list of nominees and voting members of the Parish will be posted by Sunday, 20 January.
Shrove Tuesday — Tuesday, 12 February
- Mass at 6 p.m., followed by Pancake Supper at 6:30 p.m. and compline at 7:30 p.m.
Ash Wednesday: the First Day of Lent – Wednesday, 13 February
- Masses at 12:15 p.m. and 7 p.m., with imposition of ashes at both Masses
