Margaret Trezevant, Pastoral Associate

Margaret was ordained a vocational deacon in the Diocese of California in June of 2009.  She holds a master’s degree in nursing from the University of California San Francisco with a dual specialization in Community Health and Adult Psychiatric Nursing.  She has had a long career in community health specializing in the needs of homeless persons and the homeless mentally ill as the Nurse Manager of the Emergency Department at San Francisco General Hospital and for the San Francisco Department of Public Health as the Nurse Manager of the Tom Waddell Clinic which serves the city’s homeless clients.  She has worked in cCommunity Mental Health for San Mateo County.  She has also served as Lecturer in Community Health Nursing at San Francisco State University and as a Teaching Assistant in the chaplaincy program of Sojourn Chaplaincy at San Francisco General Hospital.  She serves on the Boards of Episcopal Community Services in San Francisco and the Episcopal School for Deacons in Berkeley, California.  A member of the Diocesan Millenium Development Goals Task Force, and is the chair of the Diocesan Nets for Life Program.
