Elizabeth Welch, Pastoral Associate

The Rev. Elizabeth Welch (Pastoral Associate)  has been associated with All Saints’ since 2003, and has served as a Pastoral Associate since 2008. Prior to becoming a Pastoral Associate, Elizabeth served as Stewardship Officer.

Elizabeth has ministered in prison and jail settings: she has served as volunteer chaplain with the Episcopal Ministry at Solano/California State Prison in Vacaville, CA for three years and has volunteered with a program in the San Francisco County Jail system. In 2003, Elizabeth completed a 4-unit residency in Clinical Pastoral Education at St. Francis Hospital in San Francisco. Elizabeth is a Board Certified Chaplain and currently serves as Coordinator of Programs for Sojourn Chaplaincy at San Francisco General Hospital (SFGH). In this capacity Elizabeth trains and supervises chaplaincy volunteers and provides spiritual care to patients, their loved ones and hospital staff. SFGH is a large public hospital whose mission is to serve all, regardless of their ability to pay; it is also the primary trauma center for San Francisco.

Elizabeth earned her Masters of Divinity in 2004 at the Church Divinity School of the Pacific of the Graduate Theological Union and her Bachelors of Arts at St. Olaf College.
